SERVICE CONDITONS - ETR/ESD

ETR (Fiscal Device) Terms & Conditions
1. All Fiscal devices must be accompanied by a Service (Log) Booklet and power cable / charger / adapter;
2. In the event that the Client has misplaced the Service (Log) Booklet, a new one will need to be purchased at a cost of 1,160/-
3. It is the Customer’s (The Taxpayer’s) duty to inform KRA in writing notifying of a fault with the fiscal device. The dates are very important i.e. in the letter to KRA, the actual date of the machine having a problem must be recorded and not the date on which the issue was addressed to ODC;
4. Due to the KRA re-sealing process, all units with a physical / electronic / battery fault will be despatched to Nairobi. Please allow 3-4 working days for the delivery, quotation and repair process, depending on availability of parts. ODC will make best efforts to turn around a fiscal device within the shortest period possible;
5. Once the problem is diagnosed, a writen quotation will be issued;
6. In the event that the quotation is beyond economical repair or the Customer (The Taxpayer) does not approve, a pre-agreed diagnostic and report charge will apply;
7. Reprogramming a device is charged at a minimum KeS 1856/-;
8. Re-training users on how to operate devices will be chargeable at a cost of 2320/- for a minimum of one hour;
9. Training will be done at ODC premises, unless specifically agreed beforehand;
10. Any appointments made for ETR related problems must be adhered to. A 30 minute allowance will be given for any delays. Thereafter a new appointment will have to be made;
11. ETR Adapters are not covered under warranty and it is highly recommended that these are protected from power related incidents;
12. ETR – Any hardware defect is covered within the warranty period. However, if the unit has not been properly charged or handled which cause battery drain, fiscal memory errors which require replacement, this will not be covered under the warranty.
13. ESD – if within the warranty period, the client locks the system by means of entering wrong password or punching in wrong keys, the re-set of the ESD will be chargeable and will not be covered under warranty.
14. It is the client’s duty to ensure that all details programmed on the ETR are correct before the unit is fiscalised. ODC will not be held liable thereafter.
